Why Train?

Everyone notices things in their communities that bother them. You see things going on that make you think, “This is just wrong!  Someone aught to do something about that.”

At Global PACT, we call these “issues.” An issue is something about your community or the world that you want to change. Issues can be big or little, affecting a small group of people or practically everyone. An issue can be something that people are already trying to fix, or something that most people have not thought about yet. There are only a few key points to remember:

  • If you think something is important and needs to be changed, it is an issue
  • If you are brave enough to talk and think about issues, you can change things
  • If it upsets you that much to talk about it - you should do something about it

The first step to becoming an effective activist is deciding that you care enough about something to act. Anyone can complain. But if you stop at complaining, you’ve done nothing to solve the problem.

No community is perfect.  Activists are people who join with others to do something about the problems that plague every community.

How can you do something though?

By joining Global PACT for an International Training program - a unique experience for people interested in both learning how and acting to do something about real community problems in real, practical ways!

This intensive peer-to-peer training program will enhance your ability to identify the root causes of larger community problems, create viable solutions, and establish grassroots organizations.
