Applications & Admission Manager

Based at the Rutgers Center for Global Security and Democracy

Purpose:
To Manage and the pre-application, application, admission and enrollment process.

Reports:
Executive Director, Board of Directors, Public Relations Team. 

Key Relationships:
Executive Director, Public Relations Team, Professors, and Trainers.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Overseeing one of the most vial processes in Global PACT.  You will be responsible for coordinating the materials for prospective students throughout the pre-application, application, admission, and enrolment process of Global PACT participants.

Projects You Will Coordinate:
Pre Application
•    Update and create information that helps prospective students learn about our programs.  This includes up to date websites, syllabi, information sheets, and brochures to name a few.
•    Set up information at events where we meet and talk to prospective students
•    Talk to potential applicants to assist them to understand and explain the program
•    Send follow up on potential applicant request for additional information
•    Send communications to prospective students in a web-based tool (sugarcrm)
•    Track interested prospective students in web-based tool (sugarcrm)
•    Create prospective student reports to track likely enrollees

Application
•    Create proper web-based registration/application pathways in web-based tool Thriva School Enroll
•    Coordinate with partner Universities and local partners to ensure proper placement of web-based application system
•    Facilitate use of the web-based tool Thriva School Enroll with current applicants
•    Ensure proper collection of registration and application information
•    Lastly you will prepare them to go on the program.

Enrollment
•    Sending welcome and acceptance/enrollment information to all admitted students
•    Coordinating program emergency and logistics books for in-country teams
•    Organize orientation sessions for enrolled students

You demonstrate high attention to detail.

Ability to work in a team, dedication to ensuring completion of projects and commitment of time.  This will be rewarded with a high degree of professional responsibility.

A willingness to thoroughly learn the position.
 
A high level of comfort with web-based programs, Excel, and the  MS Office Suite.

Willingness to learn to use web-based software.
 
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent written and spoken English.
 
Proven ability to work collaboratively with other organizations.
 
Terms and Conditions
Probation: There will be a probationary period of one month. 
Salary range: Unpaid internship. 

Hours: Working week is 20 hours a week.  However, the demands of the job are likely to be such that a willingness to work flexible hours, as required, will be necessary.
The position is based at the Center for Global Security and Democracy
