Senior Trainers
Carole Ketnourath (Cambodia, Thailand)
Carole holds a BA in Asian Studies from Hamilton College. She has worked in Thailand for the past two years, first as the Volunteer Manager at DEPDC in Mae Sai and now as Vice President of Warm Heart, a community development NGO in Phrao. Carole is Director of Southeast Asia Operations for Global PACT. She was senior translator and trainer for Global PACT - Thailand, 2007.
Courtney Bell Mislan is a graduate of Rutgers University (BA 2002, MEd 2004) and is currently a kindergarten teacher in Freehold, New Jersey. As a Henry Rutgers Scholar, her research investigated the ability of drama therapy to rehabilitate at-risk children. In 2004, she was a finalist for the Governor's Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is happiest, however, when rooting for the Yankees with her husband, traveling to new places, or researching a new cookie recipe. Courtney was senior trainer for Global PACT Croatia in 2007.
Lauren Oleykowski (South Africa)
Lauren is a founding member of Global PACT. She was a member of the original Mongolia team and authored the very first edition of the Global PACT manual. She was also the senior trainer for Global PACT's first international training in Croatia. After graduating from Rutgers in 2004, Lauren spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea. Several months after her tour ended, she returned to Guinea to work for the Peace Corps again.

Colin Ashe (Brazil)
Colin is a senior biology major at Northeastern University in Boston, where he has worked in the pharmaceutical industry, with nonprofits, and in academic research. His current plans include graduate school. More at colinashe.com.
Vanessa Barton (Brazil)
Vanessa Barton is a political science major at Northeastern University and will be graduating in the summer of 2008. She hails from Portland, Maine, and loves bikes, adventure, beaches and cooking among other things. Vanessa had the most amazing time on the Global PACT trip to Thailand and is looking forward to another fantastic experience in Brazil this summer.
Daniel Christopher (Thailand)
Daniel graduated from Rutgers College (2008) with a double major in political science and philosophy (magna cum laude). Following the Global PACT Thailand 2007 training, he and Greg Mills attracted widespread attention with a series of videos and screenings based on their organization - Ta To (Wide Eyes). He is an accomplished musician and aspiring surfer, currently living in Brazil. He plans to work at Warm Heart in 2009.
Lilly Gannone (Croatia)
Lilly is a second year student at Rutgers College and a double-major in French and communications with a minor in political science. Aside from Global PACT, Lilly is the president of the French Club at Rutgers and a member of the Institute for Domestic and International Affairs (IDIA), an organization that runs model United Nations and Congress conferences for high school students in New Brunswick, Newark and Philadelphia. Prior to college, Lilly spent a year in the Congo and participated in Global PACT Croatia 2007.
Yasmine Habash (Thailand)
Yasmine Habash is a recent graduate of Northeastern University. Her first Global PACT experience began in Boston in 2005 and allowed her to travel to South Africa in 2006. Yasmine has traveled extensively in Asia and plans to work in the NGO sector.
Brett Haywood (Brazil)
Brett will graduate from Northeastern University in 2009 with a degree in Music Business and Theory. He is an avid musician and guitar player and currently works in the industry, based in Boston, MA. Maria Maldonado Matiz
Maria was born in Bogota, Colombia, but moved to New England at the age of five. She did volunteer work in Central America before graduating high school and attended Northeastern where she majored in political science and modern languages. Maria participated in Global PACT South Africa 2007 and helped to establish the organization "Sivukile," an employment initiative, with her group.
Greg Mills (Brazil)
Greg is a fifth-year film student at Northeastern where he focuses primarily on documentary filmmaking. Following the Global PACT Thailand 2007 training, he and Daniel Christopher attracted widespread attention with a series of videos and screenings based on their organization - Ta To (Wide Eyes). He plans on returning to Thailand to continue shooting for a documentary he started in the summer of 2007 with Ta To.
Sopheak Nam (Cambodia)
Sopheak is a graduate of CCH. In 2007, she was selected to participate
in the Mekong Youth Net, an intensive training program for young women
leaders from anti-trafficking organizations in the Greater Mekong
Subregion. MYN is a project of DEPDC. As part of her training, Sopheak
participated in Global PACT Thailand 2007. Following Global PACT Cambodia 2008, Sopheak will be part of the CCH that will establish a
Cambodian national Global PACT training organization.
Chetra Soun (Cambodia)
Chetra is a graduate of CCH. In 2007, she was selected to participate
in the Mekong Youth Net, an intensive training program for young women
leaders from anti-trafficking organizations in the Greater Mekong
Subregion. MYN is a project of DEPDC. As part of her training, Chetra
participated in Global PACT Thailand 2007. Following Global PACT Cambodia 2008, Chetra will be part of the CCH that will establish a
Cambodian national Global PACT training organization.
Sam Zeidman (South Africa)
Sam is a Rutgers College Senior (class of 2008) double majoring in political science and French with a minor in philosophy. In addition to Global PACT, Sam is heavily involved with the Institute for Domestic and International Affairs, which facilitates model United States Congress and United Nations conferences for high school students. He's president of the Rutgers University Debate Union. He went to Croatia with Global PACT in 2006.
