Overview of the Project Intensives Program

The Global PACT Project Intensive training program is a very special vacation experience that allows participants to see a country "up close and personal." You will have an experience like no other while contributing to the host community in a very stimulating and meaningful way.  This program involves an intensive peer-to-peer training that shows individuals how to develop and implement projects that benefit their communities by identifying the root causes of social and environmental problems and creating viable solutions.  That is where you come in and bring your lifetime of experience into the mix.

A Closer Look

Global PACT Project Intensives are limited to fifteen participants paired with fifteen local participants. Participants are adult professionals from all fields, some working, some retired. The local participants are professional volunteers in their mid 40s and 50, generally lacking formal education. However, they are proud of their contribution to their communities and are eager to move their communities in the right direction.

Global PACT helps program participants recognize and use their skills in a new and challenging setting.   You bring the kind of knowledge these communities need. The  ability to manage a team, perform internet research, create a flyer, construct a budget, negotiate a contract, read and make sense of the nutritional information are all skills  most take for granted. These skills are invaluable in the field. The local participant know what works in their environment and how to get things done.  What a match! This program will transport you to a distant location, introduce you to a team of local Thais, and offer a project-based training to teach you how to contribute and change the world with what you already know.
